The title of my book is Molly Moon’s Incredible Book of Hypnotism. The author who made this wonderful book is Georgia Byng. There are 371 pages in the book, to be exact! I picked this book because I saw the cover with a blue pug with hypnotic eyes. Really, how couldn’t anyone pick a book like that? When I started reading it and learned it was about hypnotism, I was hooked to the book.
The main character is Molly Moon. Molly is an orphan who arrived at the Hardwick House orphanage in a Moon’s Marshmallow box when she was a baby. Her last name is from Moon’s Marshmallows, thereby her last name being Moon. When she’s ten, she finds a book about Hypnotism in the Briersville library, and she goes to New York to become famous. She then realizes fame has a price, and friendship will always prevail over being famous. Another character in this story is Petula the pug. Petula is a small, blue pug. Petula was Miss Adderstone’s dog, but after Molly befriended her, Petula traveled with Molly to New York, where Petula gets dog napped by a deranged criminal.
After Molly gets to New York and becomes famous, she meets up with her friend Rocky Scarlet, her best friend from the orphanage who recently got adopted. When Petula gets dog napped, the kidnapper blackmails Molly into stealing from a bank with excellent security. Molly and Rocky must come up with a plan to rescue Petula and to not steal from the bank.
I would give the book five stars. It is beautifully made with a story that anyone can read, despite it having almost 400 pages. I absolutely recommend this book because the story has clever humor and a wondrous plot. There are many surprises in it that will draw your attention. All in all, this book is magnificent to read!
